Siren is made with our own raw organic cacao powder, our own raw organic agave nectar and our own raw organic cacao butter. She is 100% raw, and contains no refined sugar, hydrogenated fats or dairy. Siren is endorsed by the Vegan Society, certified by Organic Farmers and Growers (UK2) and loved by all who've been blissed by her.

Storage information

This chocolate will melt at the same temperature as normal chocolate, so please keep it cool. There is an approximate 4 month shelf life on this product

Cooked chocolate contains rancid oils which don't contribute to ecstatic living. Our raw chocolate isn't made with cruel dairy, and we don't use refined sugar, we use our own raw organic agave nectar for sweetness, which perfectly balances the bitterness of the cacao. Cacao is a poor source of caffeine. A typical sample of cacao nibs or cacao beans will yield anywhere from zero caffeine to 1,000 parts per million of caffeine (less than 1/20th of the caffeine present in coffee).

In February 2008, Dr. Gabriel Cousens discovered in clinical tests on healthy people that cacao does not elevate blood sugar in the same way as a caffeine containing food or beverage. In fact, Dr Cousens found that cacao has less of an effect on blood sugar than nearly any other food.

Chocolate saves the planet

In our book, Naked Chocolate, David Wolfe and Shazzie talk about chocolate saving the planet. This is a simple truth: Chocolate trees can't be cultivated outside of a forest environment. So as more chocolate is consumed, more trees of all types have to be planted. The chocolate gods are very clever, aren't they?

Certificate of analysis

Yearly, we recieve a certificate of analysis from our organic cacao growers. This covers all our cacao products: liquor, nibs, powder, beans and butter. It says many things, yet the most interesting part is the microbiological analysis. This is the bit that shows to us our chocolate products are safe for human consumption without being cooked. Staphylococus aureus, pseudomonas, aeruginoses, escherichila coli and salmonella are all tested as 100% absent from all our raw chocolate products.
